Sammy Hagar, the Red Rocker, helped fans celebrate day one of the America’s Cup Finals with an electric show at the America’s Cup Pavilion, along San Francisco’s Embarcadero.
Playing with his band, the Wabos, the Bay Area rocker drew from decades of material for the enthusiastic crowd that was ready for all of it. Rival Sons was the opening act.
Partial proceeds from ticket sales will go to the San Francisco Food Bank. Hagar is also making a donation as he has to food banks at all stops on his Four Decades of Rock tour.
The America’s Cup Concert Series continues on September 16 when another San Francisco favorite, Journey, perform with Tower of Power.
