Our AC45 joins the water Luna Rossa on

Emirates Team New Zealand has relaunched its AC45 cat - complete with wing extension – joining the Luna Rossa AC45 on Auckland Harbour.
Luna Rossa and Emirates Team New Zealand will train together and, later in the week, will have a practice race or two
Dean Barker and the sailing team have been sailing our AC45 since March last year. We have done extensive crew development work in Auckland and competed in the three ACWS regattas held to date.
Luna Rossa has been sailing the AC45 only since January 16 this year, but crew members are not strangers to multihull racing. Last year a Luna Rossa crew skippered by Max Sirena won the Extreme Sailing Series championship and helmsman Chris Draper led a fast-improving Team Korea in the AC45 series.
The AC45 sailing in Auckland will not last long.
The yachts will be dismantled next week in preparation for shipping to Naples for the ACWS regatta scheduled for April 7-15.
