As ORACLE Racing embarks on its fourth America’s Cup cycle, Revelin is embarking on his first with the team.

“I work with Oracle Racing’s Core Shore and Sailing team setting up and maintaining winches on both our AC45 boats, I also drive one of two chase boats for our AC45’s,” says Revelin. “We ensure the safety of the boats on and off the dock at the beginning and end of the day and while they’re sailing.”

Revelin is well suited for a safety role, which has taken on added importance with the new wingsail catamarans. He is a member of the Baltimore RNLI Lifeboat Station.

“I am one of the coxswain’s of our Atlantic 75 Class Lifeboat and crew in our Tyne Class all weather Lifeboat,” he says.

Revelin began sailing at the age of 8. He won a Mirror World Championship at the age of 14 and has been a member of Irish squads at many youth regattas, World and European Championships in the Laser Radial, youth Carded Athlete in 2003. Also on the winning team 2010 Super Maxi Worlds and 1720 Europeans Bowman for both.

Revelin’s education has seen him earn bachelor degrees in Electronic Communications Systems and Applied Physics and Instrumentation.

Although the 34th America’s Cup will be Revelin’s first with the team, he’s been a member of the ORACLE Racing RC44 crew since 2008 and Boat Captain in 2011. Last Year they won the season championship, a title he’s very fond of.
