Watching the regattas can work up a fierce appetite and nail biting does not count as a meal. Luckily, La Pérgola is positioned perfectly at the Maxi-screen in the AC Park North for silencing that rumbling stomach without missing a single tack. 

 

Open for lunch and dinner La Pérgola´s menu is a mixture of tapas, paella (served only at lunch time) and sandwiches. The restaurant has three separate areas the actual restaurant, the pergola (a covered outside grandstand), and a bar that runs along the side of the pergola. 

 

At lunch time the restaurant is self service – cafeteria style for the sake of getting everyone fed fast, so you order and pay inside then take your tray to the outdoor (or indoor) tables or your favorite patch of grass to eat. If you’re lucky, or very…persuasive, you might be able to get a seat on the pergola with premium views of the big screen. Another perk to being up on the pergola is that you’ll be closer to the huge paella pans that get set out on the bar. However, the paella goes just as fast as the good seats, so you´ll have to be quick to get a spoonful.  Also, at the side bar, you can grab a quick sandwich, ice-cream, drinks and potato chips.

 

At night La Pérgola changes it up a little. The pergola sticks to drinks, and wait service begins in the restaurant where you can get 3 or 4 tapas and beer for less than 20 euros a person, making for an economical night out in the Port.
