Porto Pasta’s refreshing atmosphere, family friendly menu and most of all its excellent and authentic Italian cuisine set it apart from your average Italian eatery. This spot sticks mostly to classic fare, but does it very well, and with that wonderful freshness the Italians are famous for.
A beautiful red, white and green Caprese salad and beef or Bacalao carpaccio are a couple of their most popular antipasti. But their name gives a hint about what most people are seeking when they head to Porto Pasta, and pasta, is precisely what they’ll find. Spaghetti, fettuccini and ravioli (among others) abound and are tossed in a colorful and creative array of sauces. And of course, what self respecting Italian spot wouldn’t have a healthy selection of pizza pies to choose from?
As if beautiful, bright red tomato sauce flecked with fresh basil and an impressive wine list weren’t enough, yet another appealing thing about Porto Pasta is its family friendly kids menu and its excellent location across from the Super-yacht Marina. It’s the only full service restaurant near the Avenida del Puerto entrance to Port America’s Cup, making it an excellent stop after you’ve worked up a fierce hunger shopping at the America’s Cup Superstore or ogling at the impressive Model Boat Exhibition. Even when their kitchen takes a mid-day breather from 4-7 they still offer an excellent place to take a rest in the shade with good music and cold drinks on their terrace.
