Mar de Bamboo is perfect for a taste of your surroundings here in coastal Spain. The Mediterranean menu matches the ambience at this elegant, yet unpretentious restaurant located at the base of Veles e Vents. This spot makes for a good destination for a business lunch by the canal or, in the evening, as tea lights cast a soft glow across the dining room, for a romantic dinner in the Port.
While the ambience is simple and calm, the food is exciting and unique. Among your options are such beautifully prepared dishes as duck in a blackberry reduction, truffle tortellini with veal ragout, and a wonderfully fresh, summery dish, the asparagus and prawn tagliatelle. Mar de Bamboo also features an impressive list 10 different types of fresh caught fish and a selection of meat dishes that you’d be hard pressed to find on any other menu, the ox t-bone steak for example.
They serve lunch from 1 pm until 4 pm and dinner is from 8 pm until 12 pm. Oh yeah, and it would be a crying shame to eat such a succulent meal and leave the table without trying the ¨Gooey¨ chocolate sponge cake served with a dollop of sorbet.
