Marseille boasts a long and well established history with the sea. There are a large number of Yacht Clubs to promote and continue this tradition, with strong support from the City of Marseille, in developing nautical programmes. The Yacht Clubs have a lot of experience hosting regattas at the local, national and international level.
Cruising sailors enjoy Marseille throughout the year, whilst for racers there are local regattas every weekend with championships throughout the summer and winter.
