No racing is scheduled on Friday as the crews of the 32nd America’s Cup take a break after three days of racing. Luna Rossa, Team Alinghi and Emirates Team New Zealand are equal first on the leaderboard, with four wins against one loss. The BMW ORACLE Racing team, the winner of the first Louis Vuitton Act in Marseille is just one point back.
Racing will resume on Saturday when the teams are scheduled to complete the first Round Robin before advancing to round two where the will race each other again. Emirates Team New Zealand and Luna Rossa are in a strong position now, with only races against the weaker teams left to complete Round One.
BMW ORACLE Racing and Team Alinghi on the other hand, must face each other, so one of them will suffer another loss before the second Round Robin begins.
