Elsewhere there was broken gear aplenty along with some impressively close racing. Today's racing promises more of the same with similar lively conditions and some intriguing pairings.
In the first flight of the day, Flight 2 of the 2nd Round Robin, racing kicks off with K-Challenge against Emirates Team New Zealand but the two tightest matches must surely be the third and fourth, Alinghi versus Luna Rossa and Shosholoza versus LE DEFI
In the latter of the two, the South Africans proved yesterday that they have learned fast and can give as good as they get and deliver some very exciting racing.
In Flight 3 the key matches to watch are, Luna Rossa against Emirates Team New Zealand and +39 against LE DEFI, although on present form there's always a surprise of the day too.
