The event organisers for the 32nd America’s Cup will confer the title, “2004 ACC Champion” on the best performing team across the three Louis Vuitton Acts in 2004, and award a prize to the winning team.

To determine the winner, each team is ranked according to its finishing position in the three Acts this year, under a low point scoring system. The winner of Act One, BMW ORACLE Racing for example, is given one point for that win. The second place finisher, Team Alinghi, two points, and so on.
The team with the lowest number of points at the conclusion of the 2004 racing season is the ACC Champion for that year.

Point ties are broken in favour of the winner of more match races between the tied teams across all of the Louis Vuitton Acts. If still tied, the team that finished above the other in more of the Louis Vuitton Acts will prevail. If still tied, the team that finished above the other in the most recent Louis Vuitton Act shall be ranked higher.

This annual ‘Championship’ will be awarded in 2005 and 2006, however in 2007 the only prizes on offer are the Louis Vuitton Cup and the America’s Cup!!
