San Francisco Bay continues to provide stellar sailing with fresh breezes under sunny skies.
So it’s not a surprise to see the teams taking advantage of every minute during their training sessions on the Bay.
With winds again approaching 20 knots by mid-afternoon, the crews are being challenged by the heavy conditions and both man and machine are needing maintenance each day after sailing.
Racing starts on Wednesday with the Match Racing Qualifiers – the bottom six teams (including new teams) from last season’s Match Racing Championship will sail off for the final three spots in the Match Racing Quarterfinals.
Our full video coverage on television and YouTube.com/americascup (subject to territorial broadcast agreements) runs from Thursday August 23 through Sunday August 26 and includes all races sailed on those day, including the Match Racing Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Final, as well as all seven fleet races.
In the USA, the racing on Sunday August 26 – the Match Racing Final and the ‘Super Sunday’ fleet race – will be broadcast live, coast to coast, on NBC. This means live coverage will be blocked on YouTube to users in the US. The full race replay, highlights and news coverage on YouTube is unaffected.
