Artemis Racing helmsman Nathan Outteridge is off to a strong start at the Moth world championships in Hawaii.
The Australian posted a 1, 2, 1, scoreline in the first day of racing to top the 80-boat fleet.
Winds were unusually light, at just 6-9 knots, making for challenging conditions.
Outteridge previously won the world championships in 2011 and with this start will be among the favourites for a podium finish this year.
