America's Cup TV picks up another award

The technology behind America's Cup Television has won another award in recognition of its groundbreaking television coverage.

ACTV received the Sportel Innovation Prize, a Golden Podium award for outstanding technical achievement in broadcast. AC LiveLine, the revolutionary graphics package developed for the America's Cup, was a centrepiece of the award-winning footage.

The Golden Podium Awards were created in 1991 by Georges Bertellotti and has been supported by the International Olympic Committee since its inception. This international competition highlights the Best Sports Images of the year by rewarding TV sports directors.

The Jury, composed of key figures of sports and media, met this week in Monaco during SPORTEL - the world's leading business market for Sports Media - to select the sequences that capture the beauty of sports through emotion and creativity.
