...the Welcome Centre and the Entertainment Assistants
There are two Volunteer positions that are clearly public oriented: the Welcome Centre Assistants and the Entertainment Assistants, who help visitors get information and assistance in the various activities, at the entrance and inside the Port America’s Cup.

A lot of questions come to mind when you decide to visit Port America’s Cup: what can I visit inside the Port? Are there any activities for children? Where can I have lunch… Luckily the Welcome Centres are located right at the entrance of the Port America’s Cup, where visitors come first.
Inside these big triangular orange “houses”, the Welcome Centre Assistants give visitors maps and flyers related to concerts, and tell them about restaurants, transport timeframes etc.
Carolina Abargues the Volunteer Team Leader, recognizes how important the involvement of her volunteers is: “Their role in the Welcome Centre is key for the organization. Their work is one more, strong link in the service chain".

Once our visitors are provided with a map, and are well informed about what, when and where they can discover inside the Port America’s Cup, all that’s left is to enjoy!
Especially important, is making sure visitors know about all the free activities available in the America’s Cup Park. Eva Pizá’s – the Park Content Manager – entire team of Entertainment Assistants, does its best to achieve this goal.
The range of activities managed by this team is vast: from exhibitions to transportation (aquabuses and the eco train, “Trans-Port”)… The Entertainment Assistants are constantly in contact with the public and are, as Eva says: “the faces, the eyes and the smiles that make visitors happy and helps them enjoy the Park”.
So thanks to the Welcome Centre and America’s Cup Park assistants, visitors go home after enjoying a nice walk along the team’s bases, visiting the exhibitions, having lunch or dinner in one of the restaurants, enjoying time with the children in one of the attractions of the Sponsor Village, and of course, enjoying the regattas on one of the spectator boats… Who said the action was on the sea?
