Make the action jump off the television screen and drag the viewer into the next exciting installment of America’s Cup history.
The America’s Cup Video Competition invites all persons less than 28 years of age to submit a unique video clip demonstrating creative production techniques.
The competition winner, as chosen by a panel of extreme sports and social media leaders, will get to choose from prizes that include a top of the range Apple MacBook Pro, installed with the latest video editing software, to a high-end, HD video camera.
Other finalists will receive BMW ORACLE Racing official team gear.
Entries submitted prior to July 16, 2010 will be considered for the “early entry” prizes of attendance at the 34th America’s Cup on-water video production trials in Valencia, Spain which are scheduled for July 22-25, 2010.
The competition runs from June 28, 2010 to September 28, 2010.
Competition winners will be notified no later than October 15, 2010.
Up to three entries submitted prior to July 16, 2010 will be considered for the “early entry” prizes of attendance at the 34th America’s Cup on-water video production trials which are scheduled for July 22-25, 2010 in Valencia, Spain.
Winning entrants will be contacted through their registered Masgnify account details.
The competition first prize will be either a high-end HD video camera or an Apple MacBook Pro with video software. Both prizes will have an approximate value of US$10,000.
In addition to the competition winner, three finalists will receive official BMW ORACLE Racing team gear.
Early entry winners will receive economy class return travel from their home city, and hotel accommodation in Valencia, Spain so they can participate in the 34th America’s Cup on-water media trials.
Entering couldn’t be easier. To enter the competition, contestants must post a video clip of any length on the 34th America’s Cup Video Production Competition Magnify.net page - http://acvideocompetition.magnify.net/
The clip can be of any length and should illustrate video production techniques that could help widen the audience of the 34th America’s Cup and boost interest in the event, particularly for younger audiences.
Clips may be of any sport or activity and can be any combination of camerawork, editing and production. Clips must be original and 100-percent rights-cleared.
Entrants must be at least 18 years of age and less than 28 years of age at the date of entry.
