    FIRST EVER AC75 REGATTA

    Taking place in the ancient port of Cagliari on the sun-drenched Italian Mediterranean island of Sardegna (Sardinia) from April 23 – 26, 2020 the opening event of the three-regatta ACWS circuit sees the teams competing in the 36th America’s Cup presented by Prada racing their first generation AC75 high-performance foiling monohulls against each other for the very first time.

    As such it’s a key milestone in this latest edition of the America’s Cup, when the Defender – Emirates Team New Zealand – and the Challengers – Challenger of Record, Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team, INEOS Team UK, NYYC American Magic, and Stars + Stripes Team USA – as well as America’s Cup fans all around the world, find out how the revolutionary new boats perform against each other ahead of the Prada Cup Challenger Series and the 36th America’s Cup Match in 2021.

    The ACWS Sardegna Race Village in Cagliari – packed with lots of fun entertainment for all the family – opens on Wednesday April 22, with racing taking place daily from Thursday April 23 to Sunday April 26.

    The free-to-enter race village on the Cagliari waterfront on Via Roma will be open from 1000 until 2100 hours each race day with a huge range of experiences for families to enjoy.

    • AC75 on-the-water display – each day a different team’s AC75 foiling monohull will be on display in the marina for fans to see  
    • The Dock Out Show –  A live show on stage featuring expert punditry and sailor interviews prior to the crews leaving for the racecourse 
    • AC75 Simulator – try your hand as an America’s Cup skipper at the wheel of a virtual AC75 foiling monohull
    • Technogym – experience what it is like to train the way the sailors do 
    • AC75 display – learn about the remarkable foiling monohull AC75 yachts
    • America’s Cup E-Sports Live – Finalists from the America’s Cup match race game face off live against each other on stage
    • America’s Cup 36 Store – A chance to kit yourself out in your favourite merchandising from the teams and the event     
    • Attitude Ocean pavilion – experience the marvels of the world’s oceans and learn how you can take action to help restore and protect them
