Sail Aboard America — a Replica of the Schooner That Launched The America’s Cup Tradition
All hands on deck! Join the 139-foot yacht America as she embarks on a North American voyage as the official ambassador of The America’s Cup.
America is a replica of the vessel that started the America’s Cup tradition 1851 by defeating the best the British could offer to win the Royal Yacht Squadron’s “100 Pound Cup.”
East Coast in 2016
Caribbean in Winter 2017
In 2016, the Tour will navigate its East Coast leg — from the Gulf of Mexico up the Eastern Seaboard into Maine, before tacking south through the Caribbean and on to Bermuda in 2017.
In 2015, Captain Troy Sears and crew departed from San Diego Bay as America made scheduled stops at yacht clubs, ports and other seaside venues along the Pacific Coast from San Diego to Vancouver and back again.
