With the PRADA Cup now over, a special thanks goes to all the Volunteers that helped run the event. The yellow Village Team / Kaihāpai have been great ambassadors of energy, positive mind-set and embracing the manaakitanga (hospitality) of the Race Village.
They have embraced all cultures, races, ethnic groups, languages and individuals without bias or prejudice and had every visitor feeling welcomed.
The 640 volunteers, that have been helping since races started in December 2020, are like a ‘whanau’ (a family) and they have been covered approximately 8000 shifts working about 7 hours a day!
Depending on their expertise, volunteers have been supporting all event departments, from the on-water operations to the spectator services available in the Race Village such as the Simulator, Info Kiosk and Accreditation.
Once again thank you all for what you have done so far, and will do in the coming days. The 36th America’s Cup is just around the corner so keep up the great work!
