Confirming its commitment to protecting the oceans, Luna Rossa is renewing its partnership with Ogyre ahead of the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup, Naples in 2027 with a goal for 2027 to remove 280,000 kg of marine litter.

Building on the excellent results achieved during the last Cup campaign, during which 28,000 kg of marine litter were collected, the Italian team and the world’s first global Fishing for Litter platform have decided to set an even more ambitious challenge, targeting a record goal of 280 tonnes, ten times higher than the previous result.

A MISSION TO CLEAN THE OCEAN

"We are happy to renew our partnership with Ogyre and reaffirm our commitment to ocean protection," says Max Sirena, CEO of Luna Rossa. "Protecting the sea is a priority for our team, which over the years has stood out for its environmental commitment through awareness campaigns and targeted collaborations aimed at achieving concrete and lasting results. We are ready to do our part to collect the record amount of 280 tonnes of marine litter during the next America’s Cup campaign, and we hope our example will help spread a culture of ocean respect, especially among younger generations."

"Alliances that stand the test of time are the ones that truly matter: they allow us to raise the bar responsibly, learn together, and transform one-off results into structural change. With the Luna Rossa team we share methodology, discipline, and transparency: in this way our commitment to the sea becomes reliable, measurable, and scalable," says Antonio Augeri, Co-Founder & CEO of Ogyre.
