BECOME A VOLUNTEER IN 2026 AND 2027
The Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup in Naples, Italy, is all set to be the biggest and most well attended in the event’s 175-year history with the city expected to host vast visitor numbers throughout the planned Preliminary Regattas, the Louis Vuitton Cup (the Challenger Selection Series) and the America’s Cup Match itself which starts on the 10th July 2027.
The on land group is the largest where volunteers play a supporting role with tasks like reception and visitor services at the Race Village and FanZones, to crewing the information booths updating visitors on what is happening and when. Meanwhile, a number of volunteers will take on tasks on the water, or within the television and content generation team, and at the busy international Media Centre.
All people who meet the following basic requirements may apply:
- To have reached the age of 18 years of age by December 31, 2025.
- For the Preliminary Regatta in Cagliari, to have a minimum of 4 days available between 21-24 May 2026.
- For the main America's Cup events in 2027, to have a minimum of 10 days available between start of May and 19 July 2027.
We are looking for diverse volunteer profiles, either with previous experience in the world of volunteering or willing to discover it for the first time, with knowledge and pride in their local area of expertise and eager to learn and to contribute to the history of Cagliari and Naples and the America's Cup.
All adult age groups and demographics from Cagliari and Naples and surrounding areas will be considered and are required, but people from other Italian cities and from abroad are also encouraged to apply for the AC38 volunteer team.
People with diverse abilities, people committed to sustainability and people who are new to volunteering mixed with those who have been part of local volunteer associations for years, will be an essential component for the success of the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup.
The Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup Preliminary Regatta Sardinia will take place in Cagliari, Sardinia 21-24 May 2026 and the Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup takes place in Naples, will begin in May 2027 with the final Preliminary Regatta and run through to a conclusion of the regatta by the 19 July 2027. Exact dates and volunteer slots will be released in due course once finalised.
