MULINO CAPUTO NAMED AS OFFICIAL SUPPLIER AND OFFICIAL FLOUR OF THE LOUIS VUITTON 38th AMERICA'S CUP

The Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup is delighted to announce Mulino Caputo, the most renowned and internationally recognised Neapolitan flour producer, headquartered in San Giovanni a Teduccio (Naples), as an Official Supplier and the Official Flour of the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup. A press conference announcing the sponsorship will take place on 18 September at 11:00 am at Real Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia.

The partnership brings together two organisations with deep respect for tradition, craftsmanship and innovation, as Naples prepares to host the America’s Cup for the first time in the competition’s 175-year history.

Founded in Naples in 1924, the Caputo family has been producing flour for more than a century and today its distinctive products are used by pizza makers, bakers, pastry chefs and professional kitchens around the world. Remaining closely connected to its Neapolitan heritage, Mulino Caputo has become synonymous internationally with the art of authentic Neapolitan pizza.

The partnership will see Mulino Caputo play an active role throughout the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup programme in Naples, bringing the flavours, traditions and hospitality of the host city to the teams, partners, guests and international audience attending the event.

Marzio Perrelli, Chief Executive of the America’s Cup Partnership, greeted the partnership by saying: “We are delighted to welcome Mulino Caputo as an Official Supplier of the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup. This is a very special partnership because Caputo is so deeply connected to Naples and its culture. As we bring the America’s Cup to this extraordinary city for the first time, we want the event to celebrate not only world-class sailing but also the very best of Naples. Caputo is a perfect representation of that.”

For Mulino Caputo, the association with the America’s Cup provides a global platform from which to showcase both the company's Neapolitan heritage and the extraordinary culinary culture of the city.

Antimo Caputo, Chief Executive of Mulino Caputo, further added: “For our family, seeing the America’s Cup come to Naples is a source of enormous pride. Naples is our home and has been at the heart of everything we have done for more than 100 years. To become the Official Flour of the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup allows us to welcome the world to our city through one of its greatest traditions - its food. The America’s Cup represents excellence, passion, innovation and an endless pursuit of perfection, values that we recognise very strongly at Mulino Caputo. It is very exciting to support this sporting event; in 175 years of history, we are the first mill to become an Official Supplier.”

The partnership also creates a natural connection between two very different worlds united by a common philosophy. America’s Cup teams relentlessly refine their boats, sails and technology in pursuit of marginal gains, while Caputo's millers carefully select and blend grains to produce flours tailored to the precise requirements of the world's leading pizza makers and bakers. Both combine tradition with technology, experience with innovation and craftsmanship with performance.

Naples will be at the centre of the international sailing world during the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup, culminating in the America’s Cup Match beginning on 10 July 2027. Before then, the city will host the Louis Vuitton Cup Challenger Selection Series and a programme of racing and events that will bring competitors, supporters and visitors from around the world to the Bay of Naples.

With Mulino Caputo joining the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup as Official Supplier and Official Flour, one of Naples’ most famous products will now stand alongside one of international sport's most historic trophies.
