RACE VILLAGE ACCESSIBILITY PLAN
MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC/SPECTATORS
Please be aware that the 36th America’s Cup presented by PRADA Race Village is fully accessible for all walks of life. All the buildings inside the Race Village are accessible to people with limited mobility and wheelchairs, including the AC75 Simulator, the viewing area of the Main Stage and the AC36 Official Merchandise Store. All restrooms within the Race Village also have accessible options.
Here below you will find closest mobility parking spaces:
• Princess Wharf (eastern end of site)
• Viaduct Harbour Ave (southern edge of Viaduct Harbour)
• Jellicoe Street carpark (western end of site)
ACCREDITED GUESTS
If you have been granted an accreditation, a temporary car access permit will be provided to allow you to enter restricted areas of the Venue with your vehicle and to park in reserved spaces, as close as possible to the zone which your accreditation allows you to access.
In order to receive your temporary car access permit, please contact us at accreditation@pradacup.com providing the following information:
• Day/s of intended access;
• Zone/s of intended access;
• Vehicle type, colour and plate number; and
• A copy of your NZ mobility parking permit.
ACCESS TO PRADA MEDIA CENTRE AND PRADA HOSPITALITY
• You will be sent a PDF file with the temporary car access and parking permit which will allow you to bypass the possible road closures in the Wynyard Quarter.
• A member of our team will meet you at Gate 2, at the corner of Jellicoe Street and Halsey Street (Karanga Plaza), providing your accreditation card/s and the temporary car access permit.
• Access the Race Village displaying your temporary car access permit on your windscreen and park your car in the appointed spaces.
• Please drive at a walking pace, with the hazard lights on, and always give way to pedestrians and cyclists.
ACCESS TO ON-SITE OPERATION CENTRE, CHALLENGER OF RECORD 36 OFFICE, RACE MANAGEMENT OFFICE, INTERNATIONAL BROADCASTING CENTRE AND VOLUNTEER CENTRE
• A member of our team will meet you at BASE G parking on Hamer Street providing your accreditation card/s and the temporary car access permit.
• Park your vehicle at BASE G parking on Hamer Street displaying your temporary car access permit on your windscreen.
• Access the zone/s entrance where your accreditation card will be scanned by our Security team.
• If allowed to access with your vehicle, please drive at a walking pace, with the hazard lights on, and always give way to pedestrians and cyclists.
