The applications for the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup Volunteer Programme are now open

THE VOLUNTEER PROGRAMME

The Volunteer Programme offers participants a unique and unforgettable opportunity to contribute to the success of the Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup and the Preliminary Regatta Naples, while experiencing one of the world's most prestigious sporting events from the inside. By combining their passion for sailing with volunteering, participants will become an integral part of the competition and represent the face of the event.

APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN

At this stage, we are primarily selecting volunteers for the Preliminary Regatta Naples, taking place from 24–27 September 2026.

All applications will also be considered for the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup Volunteer Programme, which will take place in Naples during May and July 2027.

WHO CAN APPLY

    • MULTILINGUAL - Able to communicate fluently in both Italian and English
    • AVAILABLE - To apply for the Preliminary Regatta Naples, applicants must be available from 24–27 September 2026.
      For the Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup, a minimum availability of 10 consecutive days will be required between May and July 2027.
    • 18+ - Be 18 years old at the time of application.

VOLUNTEER AREAS

  • Media

    Volunteers will support the Communications Team and provide assistance to accredited media representatives throughout the event.

  • On Land Operations

    Volunteers will support providing the best experience to the public in the main fan areas, which are the Race Village and the Fan Zones. Volunteers supporting the Race Village will take care of the day-to-day running of the space. They will welcome visitors, help with questions, manage the flow of people, and support the activities on stage.

  • On Water Operations

    Volunteers assigned to this area will support on-water activities and other operational tasks directly related to race management. Their role will be to assist the on-water operations team and contribute to the smooth running of the competition.

  • TV Operations

    Volunteers will support the TV Production Team, playing an active and important role in the delivery of TV production activities. They will contribute to ensuring that the competition is successfully broadcasted on television and digital channels.

ABOUT THE EVENT

  • The America's Cup is the oldest international sporting trophy in the world.

    The fight for the Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup will take place under the watchful shadow of Mt Vesuvius and just off the waterfront of the vibrant city of Naples.

    The Preliminary Regattas are where competing teams begin racing against one another and showcase their potential ahead of the final competition. The first Preliminary Regatta on the Road to Naples took place in Sardinia, in May 2026. The next Preliminary Regatta will be held in Naples from 24 to 27 September 2026.

  • What will volunteers do?

    Volunteers will work closely with the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup organising team, supporting operations both on land and on the water.

    Their contribution will be essential to the success of the event and ensuring an outstanding experience for all participants.

  • When will I know the outcome of my application?

    Selected applicants for the Preliminary Regatta Naples will be contacted by the Volunteer Team by the first week of September.

    Applicants who are not selected for the Preliminary Regatta Naples will not receive a separate notification; however, their application will remain under consideration for the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup Volunteer Programme.

  • What is the minimum availability required for the Preliminary Regatta Naples?

    Volunteers involved will be required to be available during the Preliminary Regatta days (24–27 September). Based on organizational needs, additional availability may be required for specific roles.

  • Are there any costs covered by the Volunteer Programme?

    The Volunteer Programme includes the official Volunteer Programme Uniform and meals provided during your days of activity. Volunteers are responsible for covering their own travel, accommodation, and personal expenses.
