Sir Peter Blake’s Team New Zealand arrived in the America’s Cup and changed the game. They totally dominated in San Diego with their boat Black Magic annihilating Young America of Dennis Conner 5–0. Helmed by Russell Coutts, this was his first win and he was never beaten in an America’s Cup Match again.
