The Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron in Auckland hosted its first defence whilst Patrizio Bertelli brought glamour and determination with his all-silver ‘Prada Challenge’ that won the Louis Vuitton Cup and faced down ‘Black Magic’ in the Match. The Italians lost 5-0. New Zealand became the first non-American defender to retain the America’s Cup.
