A RETURN TO WINNING WAYS

Bermuda was the venue for the 2017 defence and with the advancement in technology, foiling AC50 catamarans were used for the first time. Emirates Team New Zealand arrived with cyclors delivering power and with Pete Burling and Glenn Ashby leading the afterguard, came through the Challenger Selection Series beating Artemis 5-2 before going on to beat Oracle Team USA 7-1 in the Match and win back the America’s Cup for the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron.
